FIBERCOMMinc. was incorporated in April of 1987 to provide Fiber-Optic Technology as a cost effective means for transmitting data, voice and video information. This technology is based on the efficient transfer of light pulses from one place to another using highly transparent glass fibers that are not much thicker than a human hair. The light pulses are created by solid state devices called light emitting diodes or injection laser diodes. The information can be sent at higher, error-free, rates and longer distances using fiber optics than using copper wires. FIBERCOMMinc. was established to provide consulting services to the traffic industry by bringing fiber-optic communication solutions for the transfer of data and video. Presently, FIBERCOMMinc. has made a major commitment to lightwave communications by manufacturing fiber-optic modems and related products, designed for enhanced operations and data acquisitions.
